Mumbai/ Cuttack: The BCCI working committee meeting, which is scheduled to be convened today in Mumbai, is likely to discuss bottle hurling issue in Barabati stadium during recently concluded T-20 match between India and South Africa.
The BCCI sought an explanation from OCA over the incident and has received the reply. It will be placed before the members and a decision on Cuttack’s international future is likely to be taken. According to the source, the OCA might get away with a warning.
Some unruly spectators threw water bottles onto the ground halting the match twice. The incident created much hue and cry across the country.
The top cricket body’s meeting will be chaired by new president Shashank Manohar . The successor of late Jagmohan Dalmiya will also take a call on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals’ future as well. The BCCI working group has put forward the suggestion to invite tenders for two new teams.
India-Pakistan bilateral cricket series is also in the agenda of BCCI for discussion.
