Allotment scam: Vigilance seizes 35 more BDA, CDA files
Bhubaneswar: A team of Vigilance sleuths has again seized more than 35 files related to multiple allotments of plots/flats/houses under discretionary quota, from the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) offices today.
According to sources, the State investigating agency again conducted raids at the two offices and laid their hands on 25 more files of BDA and more than 10 files of CDA relating to the allotment scam.
Besides, the Vigilance cell DSP also interrogated the allotment officer about the distribution of plots/flats/houses at the conference room of BDA, sources added.
Earlier, the probe agency had seized 77 files of BDA and 11 files of CDA relating to the scam.
Notably, BDA had allotted 803 plots/flats/houses under discretionary quota since January 1, 1995, and the State Cabinet on December 19 had approved cancellation of around 1,791 such allotments by BDA, CDA and Orissa State Housing Board since then.
