Puri: The body of a youth was found with his throat slit at Puri Railway station in the wee hours of Friday morning.
The youth, who is suspected to have been murdered, has been identified as Sanatan Patra, a resident of Baunsiapara in Nayagarh district. He was working in a bakery and was staying in Puri rail station area.
The body of Sanatan was discovered in a pool of blood in front of the ticket counter of Puri rail station. According to sources, Sanatan is likely to have been attacked by miscreants near the parcel office of the station at around 4 AM. There are signs of a scuffle between Sanatan and miscreants near spot where the dead body was recovered.
The officer in-charge of Railway Protection Force (RPF), PK Bhoi said “Tthe blood-stained body of Sanatan was found near the ticket counter of the rail station. Railway police rescued the dead body. Government Railway Police (GRP) has been informed about the incident. A scientific team will be probing the matter.”
