Bhubaneswar: The BJD team, which visited Chhattisgarh to conduct ground inspection of the projects being undertaken by the neighbouring State in the upper reaches of river Mahanadi, will submit its report to chief minister and party supremo Naveen Patnaik on Friday.
According to sources, a meeting of the team, which includes 12 BJD members and three experts, will be held in the evening today. The team will submit its report to Patnaik after the meeting, sources added.
After returning from Chhattisgarh, the BJD team had alleged that the neighbouring state had not given all the information about the projects asked for by the team.
Besides, the team also expressed doubts about the facts given by the neighbouring state on the projects being constructed on the river Mahanadi.
Notably on August 9, a 12-member team headed by party vice president and Rajya Sabha MP Prasanna Acharya, visited the neighbouring state and had discussion with Water resource department officials and locals about the projects undertaken by Chhattisgarh on Mahanadi. They also visited the sites of many of the ongoing projects for an on-the-spot inspection.
