HelpAge India organizes state level essay competition
Bhubaneswar: With an aim to sensitise students on issues related to senior citizens in the society, HelpAge India organised a state level essay competition.
Students from different districts across the state participated in the essay competition titled ‘Rights and entitlements of senior citizens: Odisha’s position and way forward.”
The programme was inaugurated by Social Security and Empowerment of PWD department’s principal secretary Niten Chandra. Among others journalist Shyamahari Chakra, children’s litterateur Dash Benuhar, State head of HelpAge India Bharati Chakra and Sujit Mahapatra of Bakul Foundation were present.
The prize distribution of the essay competition ended with a cultural programme.
