Maoist leader with Rs 20 lakh bounty found dead in Koraput; murder alleged
Koraput: A top Maoist leader with Rs 20 lakh bounty on his head was found dead in Uparakanti hill under Semiliguda police limits in Korapurt district on Thursday evening.
The deceased has been identified as T. Anil Kumar aka Chandu, a resident of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, Chandu, who was working for special zonal committee of Andhra-Odisha for last 18 years, was arrested by Koraput police in February, 2014. Later, he was released after a court granted him conditional bail.
Chandu was staying in Koraput and was working for police since last year. He also got two threatening letters from Maoist asking him not to work as a police informer, sources added.

Sources said, there are injuries on head of the recovered body.
Though, the persons involved and their motive behind committing the crime is unknown, involvement of Maoists in the murder is suspected.
