Bhubaneswar: BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahatab on Sunday said he is in complete agreement with the decision of the party’s chief Naveen Patnaik to suspend the arrested Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy.
Mahatab added it is untrue that he challenged the party chief’s decision.
“There are no differences between me and the BJD supremo on the issue,” the Cuttack MP said.
Further, he added the arrest of Tripathy has disturbed him and the MLA’s supporters. His comments should be seen from the humanitarian point of view.
Notably, Mahatab on Saturday said the suspension of Tripathy from BJD was unjustified.
Meanwhile, the party’s spokesperson Amar Satapathy said once the party has taken a decision, any view should be expressed in the party forum, not in the media.
