After officially assuming charge at Loka Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday July 4, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi took a number of decisions, apart from making some groundbreaking announcements for the promotion and preservation of the rich Odia culture.CM Majhi informed that all government work will be executed in Odia language, and a commission will be formed for the promotion and preservation of the language.Majhi further said that Lalit Kala Akademi will be reconstituted while a Translation Academy and an Odia Asmita Bhawan will also be set up.

Former BJD Minister and Kakatpur MLA Surendranath Naik breathed his last at his residence in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
