The political atmosphere in Maharashtra has surely heated up after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday reportedly for a discussion over seat sharing ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Speculations are abuzz as prior to that, Raj Thackeray met BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde. According to sources, MNS has sought two seats, one in South Mumbai and the other outside Mumbai. As per reports, MNS may get the South Mumbai seat to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Interestingly, this is Thackeray's second visit to Delhi in the last four days. Raj Thackeray had parted ways with the Shiv Sena, when it hadn’t split into two and was led by his cousin Uddhav Thackeray. However, his party MNS could not make much impact even though he is seen as a powerful orator and enjoys a wide following. If BJP’s seat sharing is sealed with MNS, then it is likely to help the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra. Political pundits are of the opinion that Raj Thackeray’s surname will certainly help the alliance give a tough fight to Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) division in upcoming the Lok Sabha elections.
