Unbelievable! Ganga Jal Examined Under A Microscope Reveals Surprising Findings
Holy Ganga jal, is a religious sentiment for the Hindu community. It is considered to be extremely sacred. Since centuries, it is claimed that the Ganga jal does not spoil, even after months of storage. So, does this religious claim have any backing of scientific explanation?
The Ganga River is considered to have the powers to cleanse sins and purify the soul, which makes it the core of rituals, ceremonies, and pilgrimages. But unfortunately, with increasing industrialization, Maa Ganga is exploited with industrial waste, untreated sewage, and plastic debris.
Despite all of this, a recent study by IIT-Kanpur revealed some jaw-dropping facts. The study tested the water samples from Gangotri to Rishikesh on 28 parameters set by the Bureau of Indian Standards and found it was actually fit for drinking.
In a similar context, a video went viral on social media. The experiment was carried by Ashu Ghai where he puts the Gangajal he brought from Haridwar to test. Interestingly, he found no visible impurity or microorganisms. To get an accurate result, he then took the sample to a professional laboratory.
Surprisingly, the lab also confirmed that even under a 40X microscope, no visible contaminants or organisms can be seen in the Gangajal. Owing to the surprising outcome of this test, the expert then said that the water will be cultured for a few days before testing it again. But even this result shocked everyone as it again confirmed the previous observation: THE GANGA WATER WAS FREE FROM MICROORGANISMS AND IMPURITIES.
However, this experiment has sparked a debate, revealing that certain samples may not have visible contaminants.
