The election will begin from 1:30PM and go on till 3PM. Thereafter, the counting will be held and the results announced. 

As low as 50 per cent voters turned out in Bhubaneswar while the figure was 48 percent in Berhampur. The trend has left political analyst worried, and political parties putting an accusing finger at one another. 

The Odisha State Election Commission (SEC) has informed that the average voter turnout in 3 Municipal Corporations of the State is 21 percent while around 32 percent of total voters have exercised their franchise in other urban local bodies in an average till 12 pm on Thursday.

The conspicuous absence of Opposition big shots from their campaign trail has puzzled political analysts. 

As per the schedule announced by SEC, the 106 Municipalities/NACs and 3 municipal corporations will go to the polls on March 24
