At least three women were killed while five others sustained injuries in separate lightning strike incidents in Balasore district on Saturday.
As per IMD, many parts of the State will experience rain and thunderstorm activity till August 7, 2021.
As per IMD, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
The IMD has also warned fishermen not to venture into North Bay of Bengal between July 28 and 30

Under the influence of the system, widespread light to moderate rainfall with heavy to very heavy rainfall activity is likely to occur at several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
The Regional Met Centre has also issued an advisory regarding heavy rain in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar in the next 24 hours.
Even as the south-west monsoon has been subdued over Odisha, the State has been receiving light to moderate rain and thundershowers for the past couple of days, said IMD.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Deogarh in the next 24 hours.
As per IMD, a cyclonic circulation lies over south coastal Andhra Pradesh and the neighbourhood. A low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal and the neighbourhood around July 21, 2021.
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower has occurred at many places over South Coastal Odisha in the past 24 hours.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati and Ganjam in the next 24 hours
