The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted light to moderate rain at one or two places in some districts of southern Odisha on November 26. 

The weather scientists also predicted that a cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge in South Andaman Sea & neighbourhood by November 26. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around 27th November. It is likely to move west-northwest-wards and intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29.

Weather forecast:

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 26.11.2023) 

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur & dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 2 ((Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.11.2023)

Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. 

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 28.11.2023)

Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. 

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.11.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.11.2023) 

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh & dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

And from November 29 till December 2, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts.
