Low Pressure Becomes Well-Marked, Very Heavy Rain To Lash 9 Districts Of Odisha: IMD
Yesterday’s low pressure area has become well marked low pressure area today over northwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west-northwestwards across north Odisha and adjoining West Bengal during the next 24 hours. Under the influence of the system, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Balasore. IMD has issued an orange alert in the 9 districts. Apart from this, yellow warning for heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning has been sounded in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Puri and Khordha.
