Yesterday's Low Pressure Area over coastal Odisha & neighbourhood now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal Coasts and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level.
The Deep Depression remnant of cyclonic storm `Jawad' over west-central Bay of Bengal is likely to move north-northeast wards, weaken further into a Depression and reach Odisha coast near Puri around Sunday noon.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh and Ganjam from September 25 to 26.
Though Odisha is still grappling with the havoc wreaked by incessant downpour just days back, more rain is expected during the coming weekend. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warning for over expected rainfall towards the end of this week.
