During his visit to Odisha capital Bhubaneswar, Vaishnaw on Saturday said that, “Wherever there are movement of wild animals, we will increase the height of the railway tracks so that there is enough space in the underpass for the elephants and other animals to pass.”

Several elephants had lost their lives in the track during earlier days also after being hit by trains and hence the Tamil Nadu government had moved the Madras High Court to direct Railways to reduce the speed of trains at night under 45 kmph.
