Flood Here, Drought There - Paddy Farmers In Haryana Staring At Drought
According to farmers there has been an unreasonable delay in providing insurance assistance to the drought-affected farmers.
Even as Odisha continues to face a possible drought threat due to acute rainfall deficiency this monsoon season, the situation has catapulted a serious drying up of reservoirs in the State.
Odisha has been hit by the deficit rainfall in the last 2 months, particularly in the month of August. At leaset 24 districts have been affected by this, informed the IMD on Thursday
While nine districts in Odisha have received normal rainfall, below-average rainfall has been reported in 21 districts so far.
