The court of Special CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) Judge S K Shashi had completed the hearing against 99 accused including Prasad, which was underway since February last year.
The CBI has so far registered 51 cases in the matter related to poll violence and other offences in West Bengal.
The agency was allocated Rs 835.39 crore to manage its affairs in 2021-22 which was later increased to Rs 870.50 crore in the Revised Estimates given in the Budget document released Tuesday by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The case was registered based on a complaint from Bank of Baroda Cuttack in Odisha, the CBI said in a press statement.
