A day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the offices and residence of Mahima Mishra in connection with an alleged bribery case, the industrialist appeared before the officials of the central agency in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
During the questioning, Kalyani Singh, daughter of Acting Chief Justice Sabina Singh, was allegedly evasive in her responses following which the CBI arrested her.
The move comes a day after a special court in Mumbai allowed a plea of dismissed police officer Sachin Waze to turn an approver and seek pardon in the case.
The documents will be examined and then verified with the versions presented by those interrogated in connection with the case, the official said.
The CBI is questioning Karti Chidambaram since Thursday in the 11-year old case which the Congress leader has termed as "most bogus" and a result of "political vendetta".
He has been accused along with others of allegedly helping 263 Chinese nationals to get visas by flouting rules.

The central agency will record their statement and will confront them with documents it has.

The raid was conducted after a complaint was filed by the officials of the Union Bank of India, Sambalpur against the businessman Natwarlal Agarwal and his family members.
On the directions of the Supreme Court, the Special Crime unit of the central agency registered the cases late Tuesday evening.
