BJD leader Debi Prasad Mishra said that political statements should be confined to election issues. “Our priority is the development of the state. Sensitive issues should not be sensationalised. It will damage the reputation of the state. That should not be done. The Chief Minister has appealed to the opposition parties to carry forward the development works,” he added.   

As per the survey, out of the total 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, the BJP will win 11 seats while 9 seats will go to BJD's kitty and Congress will end up with one seat.

In a bid to win this segment of voters to its side, the saffron party is going to organise a massive Mahila Samavesh (women’s congregation) at Bhubaneswar on February 10. It will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his visit to Sambalpur on February 3.  

The Union Minister said, “An atmosphere of trust is created and the feelings for Lord Ram are prevailing across the country. The country is moving towards Ram Rajya and Swarajya. In the political corridors of Odisha, it is widely discussed that the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has put paid to the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD)’s plan to make the most out of the Srimandir Parikrama project inauguration. 

Around 1.5 lakh people will congregate at Remed Ground in Sambalpur to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 3, said Odisha BJP president, Manmohan Samal on Saturday.

Sources said that the final round of talk is currently underway between JD-U and BJP and are likely to be finalised by next week.
