Around 1.5 lakh people will congregate at Remed Ground in Sambalpur to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 3, said Odisha BJP president, Manmohan Samal on Saturday.

While replying to the queries of media persons, Samal said, “People of Sambalpur and adjacent areas are eagerly waiting to hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his one-day visit to Odisha, he will attend a programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Sambalpur. Thereafter, he will address a public meeting at Remed Ground.”

“At least 1.5 lakh people will come from the different parts of the district and nearby areas to witness him address the meeting. And he wouldn’t let them down. Everything regarding his visit will be finalized tonight,” he added.

When asked how the Prime Minister’s visit will work in shaping the 2024 poll narrative in Odisha, Samal said, “The public perception is favorable toward the BJP. When 93 percent of people of Odisha love Modiji, it doesn’t give houseroom to such discussions.”

The Odisha BJP president also informed that in the coming days, central leaders will be coming to Odisha to attend several inaugurations and foundation stone-laying ceremonies for which a roadmap is being prepared.
