The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will surpass the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in terms of number of seats in Odisha. 

However, the BJD will emerge as the single largest party in the Assembly polls. These predictions were made by the poll survey conducted by TIMES NOW.

As per the survey, out of the total 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, the BJP will win 11 seats while 9 seats will go to BJD's kitty and Congress will end up with one seat.  

Besides, as per the survey, the vote percentage for BJD is estimated at 40.4 while for the BJP it has been predicted to be 44.8 percent.

Congress’ vote share would be confined to 9.6 percent and 5.2 percent for other parties. 

The survey also stated that 24 percent of respondents were very satisfied with the performance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while 31 percent said they are somewhat satisfied.

About 43 percent of respondents said that Patnaik's performance has been poor while two percent said it was too early to say.
