“I had promised you that Odisha would get 5G services in the first phase. The 5G services will be launched before January 26,” said the Telecom Minister

Reliance Jio will roll out standalone 5G services in select cities in the country by Diwali.

Meanwhile, the IMC 2022 will run from Saturday to October 4 under the theme of "New digital Universe".

The National Broadband Mission (NBM) under the Ministry of Communications on Saturday tweeted (and later deleted) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially roll out the 5G services in India on October 1 -- the same day when the India Mobile Congress (IMC) kicks off which will heavily focus on 5G and related domains.

The market is gearing up for the rollout of 5G services, that will usher in ultra-high speeds and spawn new-age services and business models.
