Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched 5G services in Odisha on January 5 and users are quite excited about it.

Initially, the 5G services are available in Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. As assured by Vaishnaw, the services will soon be available in the remaining parts of Odisha soon,

At present Jio and Airtel are providing the 5G network in Odisha. The telecom majors have already clarified to the users that their network connectivity will be automatically upgraded t0 5G from 4G once the service is available in their area. 

Users will not have to buy a new SIM to use 5G, Jio and Airtel have clarified.

It is claimed that the 5G network will be around 20-30 times faster than the 4G connection. At present the telecom service providers are offering 5G services at no cost as part of the welcome offer.
