How to troubleshoot slow internet speeds on your 5G network

With 5G rolling out across India, users can enjoy lightning-fast internet that is 20-30 times faster than 4G LTE

However, users may encounter slow internet speeds. Here are some tips to boost your 5G connection.

In order to enhance the speed of your 5G internet, the initial step is to ensure that you are connected to a 5G network.

You may check whether your phone's Cellular settings display 5G or not.

If 5G is not listed, then it is recommended that you switch to a 5G network as it can provide you with a more rapid and efficient experience.

Restart Smartphone

If you are experiencing slow 5G speeds, a simple and effective solution is to restart your phone.

To do so, press and hold the power button and slide the option to power off. 

After waiting a few seconds, power your device back on.

This action can effectively refresh your device and potentially lead to an improvement in internet speed.

Close Unnecessary Apps

It is important to note that open apps can have a negative impact on the speed of your 5G connection.

In order to close them, you can make use of the App Switcher function.

If you are using an iPhone, double-click the home button to access the App Switcher.

On an Android device, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

Once you have accessed the App Switcher, swipe up on the apps that you do not wish to have running in the background.

This will effectively close them and help to optimize your device's performance and internet speed.

Clear Cache

To clear the cache, navigate to the Settings menu and select General followed by Storage.

From here, select an app and then choose the option to "Clear Cache".
