OpenAI enters AI search race with new platform SearchGPT: Know how to use it
Big tech giants are all competing to build the most powerful AI platforms for users. OpenAI has entered this race with its new AI-driven search platform, SearchGPT.
This tool offers real-time access to internet information and puts OpenAI in competition with established players like Google and Microsoft (Bing), as well as other emerging AI search services.
Announced on Thursday, SearchGPT is still in the prototype phase and is being tested by a select group of users and publishers.
OpenAI plans to integrate the best features of SearchGPT into its popular ChatGPT tools in the future.
According to Statcounter, reported by Reuters, Google currently dominates the search engine market with a 91.1 percent share.

How Will SearchGPT Work?
SearchGPT will provide summarised search results with source links and allow users to ask follow-up questions for more detailed responses. This aims to improve users' interaction and engagement with search content.
OpenAI also plans to offer publishers tools to control how their content appears in SearchGPT results. Notable partners include News Corp and The Atlantic, showing strong collaboration between OpenAI and major content providers.
Google has not yet commented on how SearchGPT might affect its business, according to Reuters.
