The viral audio clip has surfaced at a time when the first phase of voting began for the three-tier Panchayat elections on Wednesday.
Basudevpur village under Ganjam’s Digapahandi Block turned into a war zone on Monday afternoon when some armed miscreants, purportedly supporters of a Sarpanch candidate, disrupted the campaign procession of another Sarpanch candidate, Rabi Narayan Padhi before launching an attack.
"We have selected those leaders who are eager to campaign," said OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik.

On the other hand, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has intensified campaigning in Ganjam's Polsara Block. Several Ollywood actors like Tamanna, Poonam and Debashis were seen campaigning with local MLA Srikant Sahoo in ZP zone 38, 39 and 40.
Ashwini Sethi has unsuccessfully been contesting as a ward member for last 35 years.
