The BJD’s list has 40 names as its star campaigners, excluding actor-turned politician Anubhav Mohanty and Minister Samir Dash.
The poll panel also said that the decision came after the numbers of both active and new COVID-19 cases have been receding and the restrictions put in place both by the Central Government and State Governments to check the spread of pandemic are being lifted or relaxed gradually.
On the other hand, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has intensified campaigning in Ganjam's Polsara Block. Several Ollywood actors like Tamanna, Poonam and Debashis were seen campaigning with local MLA Srikant Sahoo in ZP zone 38, 39 and 40.
