A multi-layer security cover with facial recognition systems has been installed in Delhi ahead of the big day – 2022 Republic Day. Defence Ministry has said that due to COVID19 restrictions, the number of visitors will be substantially curtailed this year. Last year, 25000 visitors had taken part while this year the Ministry is looking forward to host 5000-8000 guests but nothing has been finalised as yet.
