BJP Yuva Morcha activists took out a massive rally in Bhubaneswar to gherao State Assembly demanding CBI probe and sacking of minister Dibya Shankar Mishra in connection with murder of lady teacher Mamita Meher. On the way, the activists scuffled with police after they were stopped from crossing the barricade. Such was the situation that police reportedly resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the agitators, but to no avail.
As said by BJYM Odisha president Irasis Acharya a day ago, hundreds of activists of the BJP Yuva Morcha marched towards the Odisha Assembly today in protest against minister Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged involvement in Mamita murder case.
The protestors tried to break the barricade at the Lower PMG put up by police and security personnel.
This is when a scuffle broke out at the protesting site in Bhubaneswar. One of the activist is being picked up by police.
Another BJP activist is being picked up by the IRB personnel following the scuffle.
Several protesters were taken into preventive custody today reportedly to avoid any untoward incident.
