Tapaswini lodged the missing complaint after Sumit didn’t turn up even after 24 hours

The Tapaswini-Sumit marital dispute case took a curious turn on Friday.  

Tension flew high at Lanjipalli Dhipasahi under ward no-36 of Berhampur Municipality Corporation (BeMC) during an eviction drive carried out by the civic authorities on Tuesday. 

For Tapaswini Das, who sat in front of her husband’s house demanding acceptance by her husband and in-laws, the court’s order to let the couple stay together at a rented house for seven days is nothing short of a blessing in disguise. 

With a low pressure brewing up in South Andaman Sea stroking fears of a cyclone for Odisha, the farmers of the State, particularly from the South and coastal belts are losing sleep for fear of suffering losses just before the harvesting period.

Crying her heart out, she further questioned, "Why such injustice is done to me? Is there any law to prevent a bride from entering her in-laws' house? Why should I go to Sakhi centre?"

Putting an end to the drama, which caught attention of the entire State, Pramod Sahu, the father of the ‘groom’, identified as Sumit, broke his protracted silence and acknowledged Dimple Dash as his daughter-in-law.
