Puri: With the world-famous Rath Yatra slated for June 29 fast approaching, the second Rath Yatra Coordination Committee meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Law minister Arun Sahoo here.
Among others special DG Sanjeev Marik, Health minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Power minister Pranab Prakash Das, Food and Civil Supplies minister Sanjay Dasburma, Housing and Urban Development minister Puspendra Singh Deo, local MLA Maheswar Mohanty and Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) administrator Aravind Padhee were present during the meeting.
For a smooth functioning of rituals during Debasnana Purnima and the chariot festival, the coordination committee also held talks with servitor groups - Chatisa Nijog and Daitapati Nijog.
Sources said the meeting decided to put restriction on pass holders to be present within the cordon during the chariot festival. For the first time the passes will be hologram-based.
To maintain law and order, 115 platoons of police forces will be deployed during the yatra, they added.
