Balasore: A day after suspension from the Biju Janata Dal, former MLA, Jiban Pradip Das resigned from the primary membership of the party on Friday.
Das informed his decision through a press conference here in Balasore.
“The party never provided me an opportunity to put my side over the allegations of anti-party activities against me,” said Das.
“I had done all the hard work and managed the responsibility, the party entrusted me with during the by-polls to Balasore Sadar Assembly constituency,” he added.
Notably, Das was suspended from the BJD by party president Naveen Patnaik on Thursday for alleged anti-party activities.
