Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday left for Delhi on a five-day tour.

Besides attending the a joint conference of Chief Minister and Chief Justices of States on judicial reforms tomorrow, he will also meet some Central ministers and take up issues of Odisha's interests with them during his stay in the national capital, official sources said..

Before his Delhi visit, Patnaik told media persons, “I am leaving for Delhi today to attend the meeting of chief ministers and chief justices tomorrow. During the course my visit, I will follow up on other matters.”

Chief Secretary AP Padhi is also scheduled to attend the conference of chief ministers and chief justices.

Sources said the conference, which is scheduled to be attended by Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of India and the Union Law Minister, will discuss how the judicial process can be expedited.

Patnaik will return to Bhubaneswar on April 27.
