The minimum (night) temperature is likely to rise gradually by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in Odisha during the next two to three days, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.

As per IMD, several parts of the State will experience dense fog in the next 48 hours. Apart from this, there is possibility of light to moderate rain, thunderstorm in several parts of the State.

“Moderate rainfall activity is likely over some districts of Odisha during February 3 and 4,” said IMD in a release.

Weather forecast and warning for districts of Odisha

Day-1 (valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 02.02.2022)

Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.02.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be prepared): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nayagarh and Cuttack.

Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 04.02.2022)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and at one or two places over the rest districts of North Odisha, Sonepur and Bolangir.

Yellow Warning (Be prepared): Thunderstorm with lighting is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh and Mayurbhanj.

Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.02.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 05.02.2022)

Yellow Warning (Be prepared): Thunderstorm with lighting is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Hailstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar , Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
