IAS Saumya Pandey is winning hearts on social media after a picture of her sitting on the ground to listen to the pleas of an elderly divyang man went viral. Photos of the heartwarming exchange between Saumya and the crippled man have taken over social media.
Internet users are all praise for the AIR-04 holder and hailed her for her simplicity and humility. In the pictures, an elderly man can be seen approaching the IAS for an electric bicycle. The IAS sits down next to the elderly person and attentively listens to his requests.
She then directs the officers to immediately provide all possible help to the man and ensure that he is covered by all government benefits.

A Twitter user shared a series of pictures and wrote, “The Chief Development Officer Saumya Pandey heard the pain of a divyang Dhaniram, a resident of Amraudha Nagar panchayat, who came to buy an electronic bicycle and directed the Dibyang Jan Adhikari to provide all possible help so that the elderly person can get all the benefits of government schemes.”
As soon as the picture went viral, social media users hailed the IAS for defying VIP culture in bureaucracy and helping the divyang man with her simplicity and humility. Many more officers like her and India will become one of the most developed nations, commented any social media users.
