If you are a frequent flyer, you would be very well aware of the rules regarding carrying articles in your check-in baggage. Items like batteries, lighter, e-cigarettes, documents, jewellery or cash are a giant rule-breaker.

However, were you aware of a ban on coconuts? Yes, you read that right! Air India has reportedly barred people from bringing coconuts on the flight. The notice was first shared on Reddit and has left the internet guessing what situation on air would have compelled the company to mention that coconut was not allowed inside the flight.

The notice reads, “The following items are not permitted to be carried in check-in baggage. The items include power banks, e-cigarettes, lighters and other valuables like cash, gold or even documents.”

The list also included a ban on two-wheeled segway for some wild reason. The notice has left the internet confused as no ordinary person would ever carry a segway on the flight.

The hilarious post has received a plethora of reactions from social media users.

“Who the f**k carries a segway in their baggage anway,” commented a user.

“I can imagine a terrorist who attacks at Delhi airport by throwing coconut at people’s head,” commented a user.

“What am I supposed to do with my coconut now? And what did the documents do to be banned,” commented another user.

Another user wrote, “Well, it’s clear my friend, they don’t want you to carry the coconut to prevent 9/11 happening again. Don’t you know the coconut lore of 9/11.”
