Steps for Individuals with Bank Accounts in Authorised Banks

To link your PAN with Aadhaar, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Income Tax Department's e-portal at https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/ and find the "Link Aadhaar" option in the Quick Links section.
  2. Enter your PAN and Aadhaar numbers in the provided fields and click "Validate" to verify the details.
  3. Once verified, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  4. Enter the OTP and click "Proceed" to access the Income Tax tile.
  5. On the Income Tax tile, select the Assessment Year (AY) as 2023-24 and choose "Other Receipts (500)" as the Type of Payment. Click "Continue" to proceed.
  6. The amount of Rs 1,000 will already be filled in the "Others" box. Click "Continue" to proceed.
  7. You will be redirected to your chosen bank's website for payment.
  8. Select your preferred payment method and complete the transaction to successfully link your PAN with Aadhaar.
