WTC Final: Virat Kohli dismissed with a sensational catch by Steve Smith - watch

Team India fans were stunned when star batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed due to an incredible catch by Australia’s Steve Smith off the bowling of Scott Boland on the fifth day of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final at the Oval on Sunday. 

India were 280 runs away from victory at the start of the fifth day. They appeared to be off to a solid start. However, Australia called for a Decision Review System (DRS) in the 47th over as Boland’s delivery narrowly missed Virat’s outside edge. On the next delivery of Boland, the ball took the outside edge and Steve took an incredible catch to dismiss Kohli. 

Boland then struck again on the fifth ball of the over to dismiss all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in a similar manner to dent India’s chances further.

International Cricket Council (ICC) has shared the video of Kohli’s dismissal with the incredible catch from Smith on its Instagram account. The video has reportedly gone viral. It has garnered more than one lakh likes so far. Reacting to the stunning catch, several fans have flooded the comment box with amusing comments.
