Will Abhimanyu Easwaran Find a Place in Upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy? 

In domestic Cricket, we always see many budding Indian cricketers who rise through the ranks with their consistent performances and Abhimanyu Easwaran is no exception. The 29-year-old player from Bengal is on a roll as he continues to enjoy his golden period with the bat after hitting three consecutive centuries in his three first-class innings. 

In the ongoing Irani Cup match against Mumbai, Easwaran, who is currently riding on his good form, played an impressive knock of 191 runs. The internet was sent into a frenzy after Abhimanyu's knock as the fans took to social media to advocate for the right-hand batter's inclusion in the Indian team. 

"If Abhimanyu Easwaran is not chosen as a backup opener for BGT, it could signal to players who are playing in the Ranji Trophy that their performances may not be valued. It's not a great sign.’’ One user wrote.

Easwaran has consistently been among the top run-getters for Bengal in the domestic circuit, and he enjoyed his breakthrough season in 2018-19 when he amassed over 800 runs in the Ranji Trophy at an average of 95 plus.
