Subhadra Yojana big update: Review meeting to include exempted beneficiaries today; know details
A crucial review meeting of the Subhadra Yojana is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, with discussions expected on the inclusion of beneficiaries who were previously left out of the scheme.
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed that the meeting will take into account reports sought from three key departments-Transport, Food Supplies, and Health.
The Women and Child Development Department, which is the nodal department for the scheme, had earlier written to these departments seeking data to facilitate a comprehensive review.
The Commerce and Transport Department was asked to furnish details regarding four-wheeler ownership of beneficiaries, while the Health Department was tasked with verifying the list of deceased beneficiaries to avoid duplication.
Similarly, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department was requested to provide information on paddy procurement and sales records of eligible farmers.
Based on these reports, the government will deliberate on mechanisms to incorporate the left-out beneficiaries.

“We have clarified from the beginning that not a single eligible woman will be deprived of the benefits of Subhadra Yojana. At the time when we are getting verified facts, we are including the beneficiaries afresh to the list,” Deputy CM Parida had said.
The outcome of the review meeting is expected to provide clarity to thousands of families awaiting inclusion under the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to extend targeted welfare benefits to women across the state.
