MS Dhoni is one of the best captains for Team India and IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Under Dhoni’s leadership, India has won all four ICC trophies- ODI World Cup in 2011, T20 World Cup in 2007, the Champions Trophy in 2013, and the ICC Test Championship Mace twice in 2010 and 2011.

The 'Captain Cool' has also led CSK to IPL title glory for four times. It is the second most in the history of the cash-rich league behind Mumbai Indians (MI).

Fans and experts often wonder about the success mantra of Dhoni. Former India chief selector and wicketkeeper batsman MSK Prasad has recently revealed a unique trait of Dhoni that makes him a great leader and player.

As per Prasad, despite winning countless trophies, Dhoni has never believed in titles and it is one of the main reasons behind the huge success of the Captain Cool.

“All of our attention is more towards Dhoni because people think and everybody knows that this could be his last year. But the reality is that he never believes in titles. He always believes in processes. If the process is taken care of, the result will automatically fall in place,” said Prasad during a television interview.

“If someone is not following the process or not putting in the effort, Dhoni is very severe about that. This has been the case all throughout his career. He never plays for titles. He always believes in the right process and putting in the right effort. He is very particular about that. Otherwise, he is still the same guy the next door,” the former chief selector added.

Prasad picks CSK as one of the favourites to win IPL 2023 title.

“Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, and Chennai Super Kings look certain to make it to the playoffs. The other one for the last four could be between LSG and PBKS. Among those teams, CSK may go all the way to lift the trophy once again,” the former India player predicted.
