IPL 2023: Shubman Gill facing Arjun Tendulkar sparks hilarious meme fest

Defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) got the better of five-time title winner Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, during the match GT opener and promising batter Shubman Gill faced a ball of Arjun. But the curiosity and talk among the fans was on a hilarious note. 

Shubman has long been rumoured to have been dating the daughter of Sachin and Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar. Hence the battle garnered more interactions on various social media platforms. It was a lone ball contest and Arjun bowled a good yorker to concede only a single. However, internet could not stop talking about the moment.

The face-off between Shubman and Arjun triggered hilarious meme fest on social media.

“Sara Tendulkar must be hoping that both the teams should win,” tweeted another fan.

Notably, Arjun headed into the game despite going for 31 runs in one over against Punjab Kings in his previous match. 

Though Gujarat’s Yash Dayal had faced a similar during the game against KKR, he was dropped in the next match. However, MI trusted Arjun with the new ball again and included him in the squad.
