Sania Mirza-Shoaib Malik divorce rumours: Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar opens up on link-up controversy

There were several reports and speculations that ace Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and her Pakistani cricketer-husband Shoaib Malik were heading for divorce. However, both Shoaib and Sania remained tight-lipped about the controversy.

Even, Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar was linked to Shoaib Malik after a few intimate photoshoots of the two surfaced online. After a brief silence, the gorgeous beauty finally opened up about the controversy and being linked to Shoaib Malik.

In a chat show with former pacer Shoaib Akhtar, Ayesha clarified the rumours and said that she would never be attracted to a married man.

Ayesha was linked to Shoaib after a photoshoot of the two went viral amid his divorce rumours. The pictures were widely circulated on social media while reports even claimed that Shoaib was divorcing Sania for Ayesha.

Several other reports stated that the couple was living separately. However, Ayesha has finally opened up on the controversy and laid all rumours to rest.

When asked about her alleged affair, Ayesha said, “I will never be attracted to a married or committed man ever. Everyone know me… that goes without saying.”

“Yeh Controversy bahut badi ho gayi (it became a big controversy), said Shoaib Akhtar to which Ayesha replied, ‘Woh yahan nahin, across the border this (Not here, but in India, it became a huge controversy).

The Pakistani beauty has earlier replied to a fan’s comment enquiring about her alleged marriage with Malik and wrote,

“No, marriage. Absolutely not. He is married and he is happy with his wife. I respect both Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza a lot.”

Shoaib married Sania in 2010 and the couple with their son has been staying in Dubai since then. They welcomed their son Izhaan in 2018.
