Rahul Dravid’s son aces cover drive like his father, fans in awe of his style

Former India cricketer Rahul Dravid has been receiving a lot of love from cricket lovers for his contribution to Indian cricket. After playing for the Blue Gang, he went on to become the captain of the team and is currently serving as the Head Coach.

Lovingly called ‘The Wall’, his contribution to Team India over the years has been commendable. While he is shaping up the ‘Men in Blue’ for international games, his son Samit has now been hogging the limelight for his performances.

Rahul Dravid’s 18-year-old son Samit has been hogging the limelight after he dazzled for Karnataka in their Cooch Behar Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). The future star played an exceptional game and scored 98, taking his team to a win.

Apart from being an exceptional batsman, Samit is also a talented bowler and picked up three wickets in the match. Now, a video of his batting style is going viral in which he can be seen playing some exquisite cover drives, reminding fans of his father.

Sharing a video of his battling style, a fan wrote on X, “Early signs of seeing a confident-looking young Jammy in the form of Samit Rahul Dravid. Getting on the front foot and playing these gorgeous-looking cover drives is so very evident in his genes.”

His father Rahul Dravid was spotted attending his match in the Cooch Behar Trophy against Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, BCCI has given an extension to Rahul Dravid as the head coach of Team India after his 2-year contract concluded at the end of Cricket World Cup 2023. Despite multiple offers from different IPL franchises, Dravid decided to continue his stint as the head of Team India.
