Odisha Chief Secretary pushes for 100% accuracy in digital agriculture survey
Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has stressed the importance of achieving 100% accuracy in the state’s ongoing digital agriculture survey. Reviewing the progress with district collectors, he urged officials to rectify discrepancies immediately to ensure reliable data.
A total of 28,867 surveyors have been deployed across the state for the massive exercise. So far, work has been completed on 1.54 crore plots, covering 52.53% of the total area. Of these, 49.30% have been approved, while officials admitted that inconsistencies remain in several unapproved surveys.
The Chief Secretary instructed authorities to treat errors with utmost seriousness and make necessary corrections. He further warned that strict action would be taken against surveyors, supervisors, and officials responsible for mistakes.
Emphasizing timely completion, the Chief Secretary set a deadline of September 30 for finishing the survey process. Supervisors have also been asked to ensure thorough verification so that 100 percent accuracy is achieved.
