Rain threat looms large over India vs New Zealand match at Dharamsala
Hosts India and table-toppers New Zealand will lock horns against each other in a crucial tie of the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday.
The Men in Blue had lost their last World Cup match against the Kiwis by 18 runs in the 2019 World Cup semifinal at the Old Trafford in Manchester by 18 runs. The fans were eagerly waiting for the match between the new rivals on Sunday and they were expecting the Indian team to take revenge against the Black Caps. However, rain as well as thunderstorms are predicted for the match on Sunday.
As per the Meteorological Department, there are chances of thunderstorm and 43 per cent possibility of rain which might delay the toss.
As per the prediction, it will be a chilly day for both the teams with maximum temperature hovering around 13 degrees. There will be 74 per cent cloud cover as well. By evening the temperature will drop down a couple of more degrees and there will be 100 per cent cloud cover the stadium.
If the all important match on Sunday is washed out due to rain, both India and New Zealand will share one point each.
