Aggressive Australian opener David Warner made history by smashing the fifth ODI World Cup century against Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He became the fifth batter in the history of cricket to reach this milestone.

The veteran opener made the century more iconic by celebrating it in his famous ‘Pushpa’ style at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Warner’s unique celebration has reportedly gone viral over various social media platforms.

With this explosive ton, Warner has joined an elite list with Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, and Ricky Ponting in the list of players with more than four 50-over World Cup tons. He is also the only second Australian player in the list after legendary Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting.

Opener Warner (163, 124b, 14x4, 9x6) and Mitchell Marsh (121, 108b, 10x4, 9x6) stitched together a huge partnership of 259 runs before Shaheen Afridi dismissed Marsh. Australia are heading towards a huge total in the match.
