IPL 2024: 5 players who can help Chennai Super Kings to have another successful year

There is simply no other team which stands even close to Chennai Super Kings when it comes to consistency in IPL. Under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK has clinched 5 IPL trophies and is regarded as one of successful franchises in IPL history. 

As the 17 edition of IPL is some days away, here are the 5 key players to watch out for CSK. 

Daryl Mitchell: This all-rounder from New Zealand has been in excellent form and CSK strengthened their middle order by purchasing him in the TATA IPL auction in December 2023. Mitchell’s all-round ability will add some firepower to CSK’s strong batting line-up in the 2024 season

Ravindra Jadeja: Who would forget that night when Ravi Jadeja scored 2 boundaries which turned the fortunes for CSK which helped them win their 5th IPL Trophy. The stylish all-rounder always has been the go-to player for CSK and has contributed to his team’s success in many ways. 

Ruturaj Gaikwad: This stylish opener has provided good starts for CSK in the last season. Gaikwad scored 590 runs with an impressive strike rate of 147 in IPL 2023. CSK would like him to replicate the same form in the IPL 2024 season.

Sameer Rizvi: This 20-year-old young lad from Meerut grabbed all the limelight when CSK bought him for Rs 8.4 crore during the IPL auction. Rizvi can hit big sixes and is rated very highly in the domestic circuit. 

Rachin Ravindra: This Kiwi’s all-rounder’s all-round performances in the World Cup 2023 earned him a spot in Chennai Super Kings team. He can provide a good start for the team. With Devon Conway injured, Ravindra is likely to open the innings. 

With the IPL just a few days away, CSK have a big task ahead with many of their players injured. It will be interesting to watch how MS Dhoni will lead his team to another successful outing in IPL 2024.
