In a good news for injured Rishabh Pant’s fans, the Delhi Capitals' regular captain is likely to return to the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium for the team’s first home game against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.

As per reports, the flamboyant wicket-keeper batsman Pant might also sit in the dug-out if Delhi Capitals can secure requisite permission from BCCI’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU).

“Rishabh has always been an integral part of Delhi Capitals. There is a high possibility that he will be present for the season’s first home game against Gujarat Titans. He will definitely be in the team owner’s box. If ACSU allows, Pant might also sit for some time in the team dug-out,” said an official of Delhi Capitals.

Earlier in the opening game against Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals had hung their Pant’s jersey No. 17 on the roof of the dug-out as a gesture that he is always with the team in spirit. However, as per sources, BCCI is not very happy with the gesture by Delhi Capitals. A BCCI official said that such a gesture seemed a bit over the top and was at one level uncalled for.
